What it does
You answer an exam-style question. Figure checks your final answer, then shows you the mark scheme — the method marks, the accuracy marks, and what the examiner wanted to see for each — so you can mark your own working the way a marker would.
Behind the questions sits a map of 1,300+ specific mistakes students make, each tied to the concept it comes from. When you keep losing a mark the same way, Figure names the mistake and puts it back in front of you until it stops happening. Marks are the only score it keeps: no points, no streak prizes.
How the questions are written
Every question is written for a specific exam board and qualification, in that board’s own style and command words, and carries a mark scheme written the way that board writes them. None of them is a copy of a real past-paper question — those belong to the boards, and Figure links to the real papers rather than reproducing them.
Questions and mark schemes are drafted with AI assistance and checked by a human before they are published. They still won’t all be perfect. Every question and every mark carries a one-tap “Something wrong with this question?” report, and every report is read.
The tutor
Juno, the tutor in Figure Plus, is an AI. It is built to work out the specific misconception behind a wrong answer and explain the method in the question’s own numbers — not to be an answer engine. It can be wrong, which is why every mark it touches carries a one-tap report. It is never used to mark anything that counts.
What is free and what costs money
Free, for everyone, without an account: trying questions and seeing them marked. Free with an account (just an email, no card): the whole question bank, every mark scheme and worked solution, your marks and progress, and the past-paper links.
Figure Plus adds the tutor and full timed mock papers graded against real published boundaries, for £8.99 a month or £49 a year. There is a free trial, it is cancelled in two taps, and the price on this page is the price everywhere. Nothing in the free tier is ever moved behind the paywall.
